I have just finished reading Secret Affiliate Code 2 and would like to write a review here. Mind you that the sales page is rather cheesy and hypey. It does sound like a scam, but if you can move past the hype and read the ebook, you will start to see the gems.

It starts with some basic SEO and then shows you how to get better ranking for your site through proper on-page and off-page SEO. After explaining some basic stuffs, it moves straight to some “undercover” tactics of finding profitable market/products. It shows some fairly impressive details on how to start researching what people are drawn to and how you can put your offer right in front of them.

I like the way Secret Affiliate Code goes into details and teaches me how to use the power of Twitter not only to do market research but also identify your potential buyers. I do pick up some new ideas here. You will also learn how to exploit YouTube and Web 2.0 to drive free traffic to your site.

All these methods are actually quite standard. Then, the author introduces a secondary method called “Covert Affiliate Method”. This approach is different from standard affiliate marketing, it’s about getting inside a merchant’s inner circle and to find out firsthand info before the rest of the world knows about it, especially when a new product launch has been planned. I urge you to read this section carefully and follow the instructions to the “T”. It has the potential to make you some good income. In my opinion, this method is the core of Secret Affiliate Code.

In Secret Affiliate Code 2, this core method or secret is bolstered further by other methods such as Twitter, Facebook, Web 2.0, SEO, blogs, YouTube, etc. to dominate the search engine.

Some BAD points. There are too many additional downloads and written materials available. While they are helpful, they can also create confusions, especially if you are new. I suggest you focus and read the main guide first, and then watch the video tutorials to further enforce your understanding. Some of the stuffs are too basic. So if you’re a seasoned marketer, you might find it rather boring.

Some GOOD points. Secret Affiliate Code is an excellent guide for the newbies and those who have no luck with PPC method as it only focuses on free traffic generation methods. More time and efforts have been spent on teaching you how to spot profitable markets and potential buyers, which is the most crucial skill for all online marketers. Besides the main guide, there is one add-on audio titles “Alex Goad’s 30 Minute Method”. I love this extra stuff as it discusses some methods that very few people talk about.
